Sand Filters
A sand filter consists of a large tank which is filled with a special type of sand. When water runs through the filter, the sand will catch all the small debris and store it within the tank, so your pool water can remain clear and clean. Sand filters are extremely low maintenance and affordable, making it one of the most common filter types.
Cartridge Filters
Cartridge filters are one of the most popular filters as they are easy to use and maintain. The cartridge is made from polyester that is shaped in folds which can catch debris easily. It will require frequent cleaning to ensure it works at its full capacity. However, cleaning is easy as you simply need to remove the cartridge and rinse it with a hose. A cartridge can last anywhere between four and eight years, making it highly suitable for residential pools.
